What lies ahead for Greek people in June?
Austerity, austerity,austerity and austerity…..
Within the framework of the second memorandum in June, we expect new measures required by the Troika.
The Center for Economic Research of Greece, at the behest of the government, wrote the report contained in government expenditure intended to drastically cut.
Interventions of the measures of June cover the following areas – including:
Education – Reduction in salary of kindergarten teachers, teachers, high school professors and academics, possibly with a parallel increase in working hours.
Health – Close down of several hospitals while simultaneously applying income criteria of the citizens in providing medical and hospital care.
Employment – Reduction of public sector employees by dismissal of 50,000 persons in 2012 and an overall reduction in the number of public employees by 150,000 by 2015. In addition they intend to proceed to removal of permanence of public employees through constitutional reform and also to early retirement.
On the field of labor, there is a dramatic decrease in salaries of the private sector which has already been implemented in Greece since March 2012. In detail:
THE NEW SALARY for the private sector for full-time work (8 hours):
For a person under the age of 25: MIXED 511 euro.
For a person over the age of 25: MIXED 588 euro.
If somebody has work experience of over 3 years in total, he can have the incredible amount of 30 euro extra…!
The additional reduction of salaries of those who are already working has already been implemented, aiming to reach the same levels of new-hired employees mentioned above.
Defense – Decrease in defense expenditures…
Local municipalities and public institutions – Close down for dozens of local municipalities and public institutions (the staff will be fired).
Pensions – Anticipated additional cuts and the possible cut out of double pensions.
Social benefits including insurance funds – Reductions and cuts of social welfare payments to 120,000 people, such as disability allowance, families with many children, frontier, childbirth, illness, industrial accidents, severe chronic diseases, etc., which will affect more than 240,000 citizens…
The unemployment allowance will only be granted after a check on the incomes of the unemployed person (incomes from rents, agricultural activities, even the value of the property owns by the unemployed)
Also all tax exemptions are to be cut…
